- We had a lovely stay at Antonio and Maria’s apartment. The location is incredible and in such a beautiful place. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. Ischia Porto is a pleasant walk and easily accessible. The apartment was clean and well equipped, very quaint with an outside space which was an added bonus. The weather mid October was still warm enough for us to enjoy a few evenings dining al fresco!

- After having met the people of the island, their hospitality, their tasty dishes and their enchanting places, how do you not see the rest of the island? And then with a simple boat you can discover new inaccessible places on foot, wonderful bays. And then you want to put the scent of the breeze on the boat? Pool in the hotel very nice, although you have to take the car to get there, full of hot water, very nice. My only regret would be that it is a terraced plot that requires much vigilance with one of the 4 newborns (2 years), and that this villa is therefore more suitable with older children. “Beautiful villa, impeccable organization, John and her family charming. I was very happy to meet your very professional mom. The pool at the hotel is delicious. The collaboration with Lello is excellent. I had a little fear of falling into the field for our 2 year old son, so I was not quiet. I would have been quieter with a security fence. But I understand it would ruin the sight. Some windows deserve repair, they do not close well. It’s a beautiful villa. Compliments. ”

- This home is very comfortable! It is a beautiful home with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, shoreline, and castle from the back balcony. The front balcony had a view of the lively activities of daily life for the locals. It is right next door to restaurants, churches, stores, cafes, etc. The location was perfect for us as we love the sea. Great hosts! Linda and her daughter Elisa were responsive to all our questions and handled any minor issues promptly. Upon arrival you do not need to take taxis or buses you comfortably walk to the harbor (just be in shape !!!)

At all, add Maria’s courtesy and availability: from the limoncello spa entrance to take home! and the only bad thing that can happen to you is the nostalgia of coming back.

- We were greeted very well in “Casa Maruzzella” first of all with a nice basket of fruit. The house is well located a few meters from the sea in a historic building and well kept. From the small boat dock you can reach all the most famous areas and beaches like Cartaromana. In the morning you can buy freshly baked bread and fresh fish directly from the fishermen’s boats to the Aragonese pier located in front of them (of course if the kitchen is not your strong one you can choose from among the many places present).
The house is equipped with all comforts such as a well equipped kitchen, outdoor dining on the terrace, laundry corner and two bathrooms. The rooms are well decorated and tastefully decorated, paintings and paintings on the walls make the atmosphere very pleasant.
We spent a relaxing holiday in an exclusive area of Ischia and especially in the evening you can stroll in the ancient center of Ischia bridge to enjoy a handmade ice cream and visit the Aragonese Castle.
We will return as soon as possible to Ischia and Maruzzella house will be our home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Rosanna’s apartment in Ischia Porto. It was a very comfortable two bedroom flat with two bathrooms. It is superbly located between two main streets Via Roma and Via Alfredo De Luca hence we had access to all convenience stores and restaurants. I would recommend it to anyone who wishes to be in close proximity to the Port – and at the same time – in a quiet area with absolutely no disturbances at any time of day.
We were very charmed by both Pina and Rosanna – the former whom we corresponded via email and Rosanna herself who so kindly picked us up and dropped us on arrival and departure. She even gave us a small tour of the island on the way to our day trip at Poseidon thermal spa. I would highly recommend staying at the apartment. Clean and comfortable as a zone because it can be reached from the harbor on foot and the center is very close. Pina was an exceptional host. He gave me all the information he needed to get from Naples to Ischia and sent his friend Maria (and her husband) to take my parents to the port. Having a small baby I had some special requests and needs and Maria (and her friends) met me completely. Unfortunately I did not have the chance to know Pina personally but I hope to meet her next time I will be back. Everything is extremely perfect! Thank you!

Pina was great. She was very responsive every single step of the way. She provided us with things and amenities around the apartment and every time we had a question she answered right away. The apartment was big and comfortable and a block away from the metro station which was incredibly convenient for us. We got to visit Pompeii, Naples and the Amalfi Coast while we were there. Overall, it was wonderful. It is difficult to find taxis there but everyone in the neighborhood was helpful and helped us call one for the airport.

Pina was adorable! Despite our late arrival, she greeted us very nicely and took the time to make us tour the apartment. She recommended a very good pastry just downstairs for breakfast the next day and left water and coffee in the kitchen. The apartment is spacious, clean and very well equipped.

I didn’t experience directly the stay at Pina’s because I booked for my parents, but they are very satisfied. The flat is very comfortable, clean and well located. The city centre is easy to reach walking and it is very close to the train station. Pina is a nice host and a kind person. Unfortunately the host couldn’t meet us. Lovely friend welcomed us but wasn’t able to explain much about the house. As her English was basic. This place is in a courtyard 2 mins from the town, but tucked away far enough to give you absolute peace and quiet. The house is pretty basic and could do with an uplift. But is good for the price. The location is excellent. The beach, shops and restaurants only minutes away. 10mins walk from the port, so it was great that we didn’t have to get a taxi.

Pina was very welcoming and warm, talkative host. She even cooked for me and only asked to cover food/wine expenses. Dishes were local and really tasty. The only thing to be aware is that water heater must have small capacity and warm water ran out on me halfway during my shower (I hate cold showers) – when you soap up, immediately turn off the water so you don’t use it all up.
Bed was large and very comfortable and so was the bedroom. Living room has spacious feel to it, large open kitchen and even a chimney.
Pina showed me where the bankomat was and how to open/close the gate for the car (she even hurt her finger in the process and still she kept on smiling).

What a welcome! On arrival at Ischia Port (beautiful!) I was met by Antonio and Marias’ lovely children who drove me to the apartment at Ischia Ponte(more beautiful!). They were really friendly and helpful to a first time visitor and showed me everything I needed to know and told me to contact them with any questions. The apartment itself was beyond what I expected and much better in reality than the photos. It was spacious, spotless and had a real homely feeling, The facilities were top class with every home comfort catered for. The bedroom was big with french windows onto the terrace, ample wardrobe space and a big comfy bed. The kitchen had everything a kitchen should have and the living/dining area was perfect for dining or curling up on the couch for a read. And as mentioned a large terrace with table and chairs. It was by far the most luxurious place I’ve rented to date. I stayed on the island for five days and traveled the whole perimeter by bus(buy a weekly bus ticket for e12.60 if you stay this long) and I believe Ischia Ponte is the place to stay for it’s beauty, tranquility and location. You can walk to the port in 25 mins or take the shuttle bus which runs every 15 mins. Maria kept in regular contact with me to make sure all was well and organised an early morning taxi for me on my departure. Finally she texted me to inquire if I had a good flight home. This was pure VIP treatment from start to finish. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely amazing. This will be the benchmark which I rate all others from now on.

We arrived with one of the later ferries to Ischia and the hosts were kind enough to pick us up at the port, take us to the place and show us around. The apartment is nicely furnished and it has a terrace . It is pretty spacious and was more than enough for 2 people (4 should easily fit). It is located in a beautiful and quiet old town area, right next to the Castello Aragonese – close-by you can find very nice restaurants. There is also a small port from where you can take a taxi boat to a nearby beach or other destinations. Ischia Ponte is not far away from the main port (Ischia Porto), where you can take buses to all other destinations, such as Sant’Angelo or Forio. Apart from the island being one of the magical places we have visited, what really made the trip even better is the hospitality of the hosts – they were always there for us if we needed help (they even brought us some fish they caught and took us on a boat, which was amazing!). They were hands-down the best hosts we ever had 🙂 I would certainly recommend this place and if we were to come back (and we will), we would stay there again!

We arrived much later than expected due to some problems with our rental car, even with this inconvenience, our hosts were still kind enough to adjust their schedule and meet us very late in the evening as our ferry arrived at the port. They took the time to get us settled in and show us around the apartment, and also found us a place to order food at 11:00 pm. They also presented us with fresh fruit and herbs from their garden! The next morning they took the time to show us around the island and provided great tips on traveling and points of interest, including restaurant advice….very, very helpful given our short stay of 3 nights.

I am an Architecture graduate student studying in Rome for the Autumn Quarter, 6 of my classmates and myself had the pleasure of staying at the Apartment Ischia Ponte for two nights. The Location is fabulous, situated within a 5 minute walking distance from the Castel Aragonese, and within walking distance of everything we could have needed to make our trip wonderful! Maria and her husband were so hospitable and helpful, responded too us whenever we had questions and were so kind, making suggestions about food to eat and restaurants to eat at! Maria and her husband kindly invited us out (all seven of us!) to have dinner with her at her cousins restaurant, which, by the way, was the most amazing seafood I have had in Italy yet! It was a beautiful experience and I hope to return someday! The apartment was tight with 7 but I would say that 5 or 6 people is more than comfortable, especially in the presence of friends and family! -Hayley

This is an amazing apartment! A perfect place for 2-4 people. A little tight for more than 4. The place is beautifully decorated with a spacious terrace for dining outside. Maria was such a gracious host. She had a family medical emergency but she still came to meet us at the port (and even came to find us when we were lost), provided expert recommendations for activities on the island and made us feel right at home. A five star experience. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a brilliant time staying at this apartment. The location was perfect, right by the castello and close to lots of restaurants and shops. You can easily take a bus to Ischia Porto or walk it in about 25 minutes, but we preferred Ischia Ponte. The apartment had everything you could need and was spacious and clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, picking us up from the ferry and helping us to book a very early taxi on the day we left. I would recommend this apartment and would love to stay here again.

Staying at Antonio and Maria’s apartment was such a pleasure. The place is spacious, luminous, and the courtyard was a pleasant surprise. The two of them were very welcoming and hospitable – they even picked us up from the port when we arrived! The location is wonderful as well. There is a neighborhood feel to the area directly surrounding the apartment, and just a 20 minute walk away are all the shops, bars, and restaurants of Ischia Ponte. We definitely recommend staying at Apartment Ischia Ponte Maruzzella!

Maria (Antonio’s daughter) and her daughter Rossella take care of this cosy flat in the heart of Ponte, literally 30 seconds from the sea. They have been the most caring, responsive and accommodating hosts, especially as it was a last minute booking. They came and pick me up at the ferry, drove me to the house and left plenty infos about beaches, hot springs, restaurants, etc. They helped me rent a scooter and offered to take me out for drinks and for dinner and were always available on the phone. Ponte itself is great. Best bakery, ice-cream, pizza and seafood… and of course mozzarellas! All at your door-steps. You can walk to Ischia in 20 minutes, along the sea first and then strolling among shops of all sorts. The flat itself is equipped with everything you need and very quiet. I am an host on Airbnb and as a first time traveller… it was a 100% positive experience!!

Friendly and helpful hosts on a friendly Island paradise. They really made sure I got the true Ischia experience! The neighborhood is walking streets – limited traffic. Very Comfortable bed and Great kitchen. Close by bakery, swimming, fishing boats selling, and the Castle. For me, Ischia Ponte is the best area on the island.
